Wine Advocate Australia 2025 New Release Round-Up

In this round-up of 182 wines, wine critic Erin Larkin had plenty to say about Vine Street producers. Notably, Agricola Vintners ‘K’Sands’ Shiraz was the highest rated wine with 98 points. “This is a terribly exciting set of new release tasting notes from Australia, featuring a swathe of producers who should be featuring on any self-respecting collector’s watch list,” writes Larkin. Here are a few quotes from her article that capture the seriousness and breadth of our Australian portfolio, what has long been the linchpin in the Vine Street identity:

Agricola Vintners: “[These wines] represent some of the most exciting wines being made in South Australia right now… These are firmly Barossa Shiraz but not as you know it.”

Dr. Edge: “The wines revealed themselves to be serious, long-lived wines of structure and place.”

S.C. Pannell: “Steve Pannell is one of the most revered winemakers in South Australia… [His wines] are effortless… with the tannins derived from the vineyard, rather than any decisions or manipulations during élevage.”
