Wine Enthusiast rounded up fifteen Malbecs that showcase the new face of Argentina. “The vibrant reds that are now being crafted in Argentina differ from those oaky bold Malbec of the past, with a new generation of winemakers using both traditional and modern techniques to achieve wines that express the terroir,” says Wine Enthusiast’s Argentine wine reviewer, Jesica Vargas. Among those listed were Magna Montis ‘Paraje Altamira’ Malbec. “Subtle notes of oregano and bay leaf followed by dried rose petals and hints of cranberry are backed by chalky tannins,” states the review.
